Fay worked construction for many years and retired from Cayuga Medical Center in 1994. He was always helping others, but not good at accepting help. She was predeceased by her great grandfather, David Hall, in 2009; great grandmother, Melissa Hall, in 2012; great grandmother, Agnes Wyre, in 2009; great grandfather, Donald Horton, Sr., in 1998; great grandmother, Doris Horton, in 2017, and cousin, Daniel Shumway. Jeff owned Williams Electric for many years, and later worked as an electrical estimator for Welliver.
He loved his home on Seneca Lake, and in his spare time enjoyed boating, racing and watching the Yankees.
The family business was founded in 1941 by his father, Lester Smalley. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m., followed by burial at Hillside Cemetery in Dundee.
